Institutional Investors
Not all trades are created equal—and National
Securities’ fixed income and equity trading
operations have quite a bit more depth and
breadth than many similarly-sized independent
contractor firms.
To serve clients better, National Securities has a team of
traders based in New York, which function
as a liaison between its retail brokers and its wholesale
staff members. National Securities’ trading operation has
the kind of experience that you might expect at a larger
firm—our trading team members are seasoned, many
with over 20 years in the business. National Securities’
traders have weathered market cycles—and they know
how to get the job done.
National Securities is large enough to execute your
trades like the “big guys,” but small enough to listen
and give the individual attention needed. As a measure
of National Securities’ commitment to the reps, the
Firm regularly entertains inquiries from brokers about
market making in specific stocks.
Our Institutional Sales professionals are dedicated to distributing Investment Banking
product and enhancing corporate client visibility through road shows and meetings
with buy side groups. National Securities offers hedge funds and other institutional
investors steady access to our Investment Banking deal flow.
We have established sophisticated Equity and Fixed Income Groups which trade the
full spectrum of products. Our Fixed Income Division is serviced by professionals,
trading and selling Treasuries, Municipals, Agencies, and Mortgage Backed securities.
National Securities’ overarching mission is to
empower buy-side traders through an uncompromised
agency environment. This is accomplished through
innovative trading technology that lends to quality
anonymous execution. National Securities will provide
anonymous execution to Hedge Funds, Pension
Funds, and Institutional Money Management Firms
with a personalized approach. National’s equity brokers offer
unsurpassed dedicated service that include a
constant supply of significant support and resistance levels.
Approved customers have direct access to the Firm’s equity sales traders
and to its proprietary OMS routing and direct access
system. National Securities has the capacity to make
markets. The traders have access to execute equities
using algorithmic tools such as liquidity paced, time
weighted average price, VWAP, and volume tracker
and have model-based checks and balances to help
prevent trading errors. Reporting is handled in-house
and by widely used third-party systems with the latest
technology. The back office has a dedicated department
for handling DVP accounts that are experienced in
settling and clearing trades for customers’ prime
broker accounts. Executives from National Securities
originated on the exchange trading floors to the largest
trading desks in the world.
Fixed Income
National Securities offers a full service Fixed Income
desk dedicated to clients who desire the best execution
with anonymity. The desk trades U.S. Government
treasuries and agencies, corporate high grade to
distressed debt, convertible bonds, preferreds, municipal
bonds, sovereign and emerging debt. The trading desk
has extensive experience trading fixed income. The desk
has trading relationships with all major financial service
firms and will provide market-making.
Institutional clients can choose the best order routing and execution method for
their transactions. In addition to access to National Securities' Trading Desks,
institutional clients can route and execute orders through one of several trading
platforms offered by EquityStation™. The platforms provide direct market access
(DMA), algorithmic trading and option execution. Like National Securities, Corp.,
EquityStation™ is a National Holdings Corp. company, a broker-dealer registered with
the SEC, and member FINRA/SIPC. EquityStation™ as well as National Securities offers
to hedge funds products such as its Hedge Fund Accelerator.
We also have relationships with multiple clearing firms to meet the diverse needs
of our clients. Our global client base includes large financial institutions, funds,
and family offices.
